What Is a ccTLD
Every nation in the world has a country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) consisting of two letters representing the country on the internet.
Some ccTLDs are restricted, meaning there are certain requirements you have to fulfill in order to register a domain name for that region such as having a presence in the country, for example, a physical address or a business license. Other ccTLDs are unrestricted meaning anyone can register one. We have connections across the globe and offer our exclusive Trustee Services so you can register a domain in any country of the world even if you don’t live there.
Many of these ccTLDs are also available as Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), which allow the domain name to be registered using characters that are native to the alphabet of the country in question.
Each and every one of our ccTLDs has their own webpage on our website. Once you have located the country and ccTLD you are searching for, you can click on it to see all the associated second and third level domains that are available. Second level domains like .gov and .mil have very specific requirements and many restrictions when paired with ccTLDs.
